    摘要: An optical-fiber connector includes a handle, a sleeve member, and connecting housings each including a base body and an elastic arm. Each elastic arm includes engaging blocks protruding from the elastic arm and a slidable groove on the corresponding base body. The slidable grooves face each other. The handle includes a handle body between the elastic arms and a handle member extending from the handle body. Two slidable blocks are at two sides of the handle body and respectively inserted into the slidable grooves, and two protruding blocks are at two sides of the handle member. The sleeve member is fitted over the handle member. First and second engaging grooves are on a wall surface of the sleeve member, and the first and second engaging grooves are on different positions of the wall surface of the sleeve member. Accordingly, the length of the handle is adjustable.

    摘要: A plug attached to a terminal part of a cable includes a plug main body engaged to an adaptor, a slider and a tool. The tool includes an insertion portion having a tapered part and an engaging projection and an operation part. When the operation part is pulled with a second surface of the insertion portion inserted in a slot being disposed in parallel with an extraction direction, the engaging projection is engaged with an engaging portion of the slider, the slider is moved integrally with the tool and the plug main body is pulled out from the adaptor. When the operation part is pulled with an inclined surface of the tapered part being disposed in parallel with the extraction direction, the engaging projection is released from an engaging state with the engaging portion and the tool is detached from the slider.

    摘要: Switchable housings and connector assemblies for connections to high density panels are disclosed, as well as components thereof. A connector assembly may include cable assembly connectors configured to engage with a mating connector in a first direction. A latching portion may be configured to engage and selectively disengage the cable assembly connector with the mating connector. A switchable housing may contain release members configured to contact the latching portion and provide a compressing force sufficient to selectively disengage the cable assembly connector from the mating connector and a pull tab assembly in contact with the release members. Movement of the pull tab assembly in a second direction may cause the pull tab assembly to compress the one or more release members, thereby causing the one or more release members to provide the compressing force to disengage the cable assembly connector from the mating connector.

    摘要: A method for assembling a fiber optic connector utilizes a manufacturing fixture with multiple fingers that are removably affixed to an outer surface of a ferrule holder having at least one keying feature. A core position of an optical fiber relative to a ferrule retained by the ferrule holder is determined, followed by relative rotation between the ferrule holder and the manufacturing fixture to place the core position in a preferred angular orientation, and a housing is affixed over the ferrule holder the maintain the angular orientation of the core position, followed by removal of the manufacturing fixture. A ferrule holder includes at least one keying feature and at least one channel extending in a circumferential direction along an outer surface of a body structure, with a plurality of recesses extending in an axial direction along the outer surface.

    摘要: A duplex clip assembly for LC fiber optic plug connectors has a duplex housing, a crimp sleeve, and a housing cover. The duplex housing retains a portion of each fiber optic plug connector such as to allow each fiber optic plug connector to rotate relative to the duplex housing. The housing also has a bottom snap located on an underside. The housing cover encloses and retains the duplex housing with a clearance between the housing cover and the rest of the assembly. The housing cover also has a slot located on an underside configured to engage the bottom snap of the duplex housing such that the clearance fit allows an application of pressure on the sides of the housing cover to result in the slot being disengaged from the bottom snap. The clip assembly can also have a boot securely attached to the housing partially enclosing the fiber optic cable.
