Abstract: In order to achieve an electronic device with a high display quality while preventing a wiring pattern of a touch panel from being visually recognized in a display region, the present invention includes: a touch panel electrode (20) provided so as to surround a display region (41); and a control section (10) connected to the touch panel electrode (20) and configured to sense, in accordance with a change in capacitance of the touch panel electrode (20), a touch operation carried out by an object coming into contact with or coming closer to at least one of the display region (41) and a frame region (50).

Abstract: An input device includes a display unit having a display screen on which a plurality of buttons are displayed and a touch panel that detects a location on the display screen that has been touched, a vibration unit that causes the display unit to vibrate, an input controller that validates an input based on touch when the location detected by the touch panel is within a button, and a vibration controller that does not cause the vibration unit to vibrate when the location detected by the touch panel is confined to only one button, but causes the vibration unit to continually vibrate when another location is detected for as long as the other location is being detected.
