A touch sensing apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a flip-flop (15), a sensor (13), an AC signal (14), and a detector (16). The AC signal supplies AC signals to the flip-flop. The flip-flop outputs a first output signal at the output of flip-flop when the sensor is not touched. The sensor receives electricity signals from the object, and causes a delay of the AC signal inputted to the first input of the flip-flop, the delay of the AC signal to be inputted to the first input of the flip-flop further causes the flip-flop to output a second output signal at the output of the flip-flop. The detector detects a change from the first output signal to the second output signal at the output of the flip-flop and accordingly identifies a touch on the sensor.

A touch sensing apparatus is provided. A preferred embodiment of a touch sensing apparatus includes a sensor (13), an MCU (15), and an integration circuit (14). The sensor is for receiving electricity signals from an object that touches the sensor. The MCU (Microcontrol Unit) has a signal output port A and a signal input port B. The signal input port is connected to the sensor. The integration circuit interposes between the signal output port and the signal input port of the MCU. The signal output port outputs AC signals to the signal input port through the integration circuit. The integration circuit prolongs active transition times of the AC signals, and the MCU identifies a touch on the sensor when the active transition times of the AC signals fall in a predetermined range and accordingly implements a predetermined function.

A touch sensing apparatus includes a signal source for generating an alternating current signal, a conductor connected to the signal source, a sensor for receiving a noise generated by a contact of an object. The sensor together with the conductor form a simulated capacitor that results in alternating current signal flowing through the sensor when the sensor is contacted by the object. A detector has a first input end and a second input end. The detector results in voltage differences between the first and second input ends thereof when receiving the alternating current signal output from the sensor, and thus output a signal. A rectifying circuit is used for rectifying the alternating current signal generated by the signal source and simultaneously generating a noise. One end of the rectifier circuit is connected to the signal source and other end of the rectifier circuit is connected to the negative power input end of the detector.

A preferred embodiment of the touch sensing apparatus includes one or more touch sensing units, a detector, and a signal processing unit. Each touch sensing unit comprises: a differential signal source for generating two signals which have a same frequency but reverse phases; and two sensors for receiving a touch signal of a user's finger. One sensor is connected to an anode of the differential signal source, and the other sensor is connected to a cathode of the differential signal source. The detector is for converting the received signal into a digital signal. An input terminal of the detector is connected to the sensors of each touch sensing unit. The signal processing unit is for determining which sensor is touched according to the frequency and phase of the signal output from the detector. The signal processing unit is connected to an output terminal of the detector. The touch sensing unit may further include a reference signal circuit.

A capacitive pressure sensing device includes a capacitor, a capacitive pressure transducer, a resistor, a capacitance/frequency converter and a processor. The capacitive pressure transducer includes a metal sponge, a metal layer and a capacitive sensor element. The metal sponge is sandwiched between the metal layer and the capacitive sensor element. When an external force is applied to the metal layer, the metal sponge is compressed, and reduces a distance between the metal layer and the capacitive sensor element, the capacitive pressure transducer thus produces a variable capacitance value Ct. The total capacitance value at an input terminal of the capacitance/frequency converter is contributed by the capacitor and the capacitive pressure transducer. The capacitance/frequency output a control signal according to the total capacitance value to an electronic device to trigger a corresponding function.
