Each of teeth of the driving gear has a first circumferential width, each of teeth of the driven gear has a second circumferential width, and the second circumferential width is greater than the first circumferential width.

    摘要: A pair of cylindrical magnets with cut away portions has been arranged on both sides of a magnetic sensing element in symmetry of rotation, and a yoke surrounds the magnetic sensing element in contact with outer peripheral surfaces of the pair of the cylindrical magnets with cut away portions. The pair of the cylindrical magnets with cut away portions rotates around an axial center with a concurrent axial displacement along with a rotation of a rotating body. The pair of the cylindrical magnets with cut away portions is arranged in inclined manner against an axis-of-rotation of the magnet. Thereby, the rotation and the displacement in the direction of the axis against the magnetic sensing element of the pair of the cylindrical magnets with cut away portions, and the number of times of rotation can be detected by detecting the size of the magnetic flux density by the magnetic sensing element. The pair of the cylindrical magnets with cut away portions improves the size and linearity of the magnetic field on the axial center.

    摘要: A rotation angle of a shaft is detected based on changes in levels of magnetic flux from a single magnet that is mounted on the shaft and is moved axially in accordance with rotation of the shaft. Respective detected variations in level of X-direction and Y-direction magnetic flux components (each at right angles to the shaft axis) are used to obtain a first quantity that varies monotonically, and a second quantity that varies periodically, in accordance with increased rotation angle. An accurate value of the shaft rotation angle is calculated based on the first and second quantities, in combination.

    摘要: A rotation angle detecting device includes a signal generator, a magnetic rotor and a rotation angle calculating unit that calculates a rotation angle θ of the rotor based on the output signals of the signal generator. The signal generator includes a magnetic rotor that has a permanent magnet and a shaft connectable with the rotating object and at least three magnetic sensor elements disposed in the magnetic field to generate a plurality of output signals when the rotor rotates. The rotation angle calculating unit calculates a first candidate of the rotation angle θ from a first pair of the three output signals, examines whether the first candidate of the rotation angle θ is normal or not and calculates a next candidate of the rotation angle θ from another pair of the three output signals if the first candidate of the rotation angle θ is not normal, examines whether the next candidate of the rotation angle θ is normal or not, repeats the above two steps until a next candidate of the rotation angle θ is judged normal, and outputs one of the first and next candidates of the rotation angle θ as a formal rotation angle if it is judged normal.
