    摘要: A handle mounted on the top of the handle post of an ergometer is made up of a parallel rod and handle grips extended from both ends of the parallel rod, each of the handle grips is L-shaped, consisting of a gripping rod and an upright rod, the handle grips being perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the parallel rod. Further, the handle mounted on the top of the ergometer can be turned by comprising, the parallel rod having a middle portion which is polygonal in section, a holder secured to the upper end of the handle post, a parallel rod holding means for receiving the middle portion being slidable mounted inside the holder, a knob means for sliding the parallel rod holding means by threadable engaging with the parallel rod holding means through the holder, a spring means for pulling the knob means towards the user at all times being elastically mounted on the holder, and the holder being a frame having parallel side walls in the central portions of which parallel inserting grooves are cut so that the middle portion can be inserted from front and secured therein.

    摘要: An apparatus for measuring physical strength by dynamically measuring the instantaneous power of a nonrepetitive muscular force as, for example, the force exerted by a leg extension, on the basis of a power theory and, consequently, the instantaneous power generated by a dynamic, nonrepetitive multi-articular movement such as a vertical jump. The power produced by a leg extension is calculated from the maximum speed V.sub.max of the foot plate and its output time T.sub.max. An apparatus for such measurement includes a base frame; a guide section that extends in the same direction as the base frame; a foot section that slides along the guide section so that its sliding angle is variable; a measuring unit that measures sliding conditions of the foot section; a display unit that displays, visually or aurally, various data on the leg extension of the subject; and a processor means for calculating the power generated by the leg extending force.

    摘要: An apparatus for measuring the instantaneous power generated by a leg extension, which includes a seat provided above a drive system unit on which a subject is seated. A slide rail extends forwardly from the drive system unit, and a foot plate slides along the slide rail in forward and backward directions. A rope connected to the foot plate is provided in the drive system unit in order to be paid out in response to the forward sliding movement of the foot plate. This apparatus also includes a transmission device, which rotates in response to the rope paying-out and a powder brake, which is rotated by the transmission device. A foot load sensor is also mounted on the foot plate in order to detect the foot load developed when the subject extends his/her legs, and a rotation frequency sensor is provided at a predetermined position within the drive system unit in order to detect the rotation frequency of the powder brake. In addition, a processing unit is used to calculate the average speed, the average muscle power, the average power and the peak power generated by the subject's legs, according to the detection signals from the foot load sensor and the rotation frequency sensor. These calculations are visually and auditorially displayed to the subject by an indicator device.
