    摘要: A color developing composition is stable in the presence of calcium ion because of the presence of a specific polyphosphonic acid sequestering agent. The composition also comprises a color developing agent in free base form and an antioxidant for the color developing agent. The calcium ion sequestering agent is morpholinomethanediphosphonic acid or a salt thereof. This sequestering agent can be used alone to control calcium ion precipitates, or in combination with a polyaminopolyphonic acid or salt thereof. The composition can be used to provide images in various color photographic silver halide materials.

    摘要: Concentrated and working strength photographic color developing compositions are stabilized with the inclusion of two specific types of calcium ion sequestering agents. One of the sequestering agents is a polyelectrolyte such as a polycarboxylic acid or salt thereof having a molecular weight of from about 2000 to about 100,000. The other one is a non-polymeric aminocarboxylic acid, polyphosphonic acid, or a salt thereof. The weight ratio of the first calcium ion sequestering agent to the second calcium ion sequestering agent is from about 1:1 to about 20:1. These compositions can be used to process color photographic materials such as color photographic papers.

    摘要: An amplified color developing composition is stabilized with a cyclicaminomethanediphosphonic acid or salt thereof alone of in combination with other stabilizing compounds. This composition also comprises a color developing agent, a redox oxidizing agent (such as hydrogen peroxide), and a hydroxylamine antioxidant for the color developing agent. The amplified color developing composition can be formulated using a two- or three-part processing kit. The composition can be used to provide images in various color photographic silver halide materials such as color photographic papers.

    摘要: A black-and-white photographic developing composition has improved stability and is more compatible with the environment when discarded. The composition includes one or more ascorbic acid developing agents and a preservative (such as a sulfite) and is essentially free of hydroquinone and similar developing agents. Improved stability is provided using a sulfo-substituted organic compound as a stabilizing agent. Such compounds are either aliphatic sulfo compounds or hydroxy-free aromatic sulfo compounds.

    摘要: Concentrated and working strength photographic color developing compositions are stabilized with the inclusion of a sulfur compound as a preservative for a color developing agent. The preservative can be represented by one of the following Structures I, II, III, and IV: M1S—R—CH(NH2)—COOM2   (I) M1S—R1—COOM2   (II) R2—S—S—R2   (III) R3HN—R4—SM1   (IV) wherein R is a divalent aliphatic linking group having at least 1 carbon atom in the chain, R1 is phenylene or an unsubstituted alkylene having 1 or 2 carbon atoms, R2 is a monovalent aliphatic group having at least 2 carbon atoms and comprising a —CH(NHR3)—COOM2 or —(C1-C3)alkylene-CH(NHR3)—COOM2 group, R3 is hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms or phenyl, R4 is an alkylene group, a cyclohexylene group, or a phenylene group, and M1 and M2 are independently hydrogen, an alkali metal or ammonium ion or methyl group. These compositions can be used to process color photographic materials.
