The yarn inlet- and yarn outlet-channels have an opening cross section that, on the one hand, makes possible a pneumatic yarn threading-in and, on the other hand, controls the exchange of air and steam between the chambers such that a steam-air-mixture atmosphere sets in that substantially forecloses the entrance of air into the steam treatment chamber.

At least one of the guide elements is positionable for adaptation to the mean thickness of the traveling yarn in various predetermined positions. Means is provided for temporary adaptation of the yarn guide channel to yarn defects. At least one of the guide elements (26, 27) is steplessly adjustably mounted for adaption to the mean thickness of the traveling yarn (14). A sealing element (28), which can be placed on the first and the second yarn guide element (26, 27), extends along the yarn guide channel (25), for closing it and for reacting resiliently to defects in the traveling yarn (14).

    摘要: A method for spinning fibers onto the free ends of the two threads of a yarn that is produced during an integrated spinning and twisting process and a two-for-one spinning and twisting apparatus for performing the method are provided. The method includes gripping a twisted yarn, separating two threads of the twisted yarn in a manner such that the twist which was originally present in each individual thread prior to the doubling of the thread with the other thread returns to the now separated thread portion, and forming a thread loop of each separated thread portion. Each thread loop is clamped and respective portions of the two branches of the thread loop extend to a spinning rotor and the spindle hollow axle. Spinning is commenced in coordination with winding and the thread loop is dissolved as the now joined thread is drawn into the spindle hollow axle.

The process further includes drawing the yarn through an additional yarn guide element. The cross section of the one pair of elongate yarn guide elements and the cross section of the additional yarn guide element correspond to the thickness (titer) of the yarn traveling through these yarn guide elements such that the yarn travels through these yarn guide elements in a substantially friction-free manner and the one pair of elongate yarn guide elements and the additional yarn guide element operate in cooperation with the yarn treatment chamber such that the yarn treatment chamber is substantially sealed off against loss of pressure.
