Abstract: A battery module for a hearing device is configured for inductive resonance charging. The battery module has a secondary cell, a blocking sleeve that encloses the secondary cell and shields the secondary cell against a magnetic field, a jacket formed from permeable material outside the blocking sleeve, and an induction coil outside the jacket for receiving energy inductively. The induction coil and the jacket form a receiving antenna for receiving the energy. The material and/or the geometric structure of the blocking sleeve, the jacket made of permeable material, and/or the induction coil is/are additionally selected in such a way that the battery module, in particular the induction coil, has a quality factor of at least 35 for receiving energy at a predetermined value of a charging frequency that is employed by a charging device that generates a magnetic alternating field.

Abstract: A battery module for a hearing device includes a secondary cell and two contact elements for making contact with the secondary cell at two different potential areas. A fuse which is arranged at a short distance from the contact element that is assigned to a positive potential. A copper jacket surrounds the secondary cell, and a ferrite jacket is arranged on the outside of the copper jacket. An induction coil is arranged on the outside of the ferrite jacket and is configured to inductively receive energy for charging the battery module. A resonant capacitor is coupled to the induction coil at a short distance from the latter. A thermistor for monitoring a cell temperature is arranged with electrical insulation from the secondary cell but is coupled to the latter with low thermal resistance using heat-transfer capability.

Abstract: A method includes connecting a device to a charger and providing wireless charging in a state of charge by transferring energy wirelessly from a transmitter module of the charger to a reception module of the device. The device has a state of discharge in which energy is consumed. The device includes a charging connector, to which a charging input voltage adjustable by the charger is applied for charging. The device includes a switching connector for turning the device on and off. The device includes a switch connected to the switching connector and being switchable by the charging input voltage by setting the charging input voltage to an intermediate voltage. The charger sets the charging input voltage to the intermediate voltage for switching the switch and transitioning the device into an off state with the device turned off. A corresponding device and charger are also provided.

Abstract: A method for charging a hearing device uses a charging unit configured for wireless charging. A query signal is emitted wirelessly by a transmitter of the charging unit. Upon receipt of the query signal a first response signal is sent to the charging unit by a response unit of the hearing device. Upon the receipt of the first response signal the charging unit begins a charging operation for the hearing device, by wirelessly emitting a continuous energy signal. A hearing device system, a hearing device and a charging unit are also provided.

Abstract: A method for initializing a long-term-storage mode for a hearing instrument having a rechargeable battery cell includes predetermining an upper limiting value of a parameter for a state of charge of the rechargeable battery cell for long-term storage of the hearing instrument. An actual value, actually present, of the parameter for the state of charge is measured within an activation routine for long-term storage. The measured actual value of the parameter for the state of charge is compared with the upper limiting value of the parameter for the state of charge, and if the measured actual value of the parameter lies above the upper limiting value, the battery cell is discharged at least until the parameter has reached the predetermined upper limiting value, and the hearing instrument is placed into a long-term-storage mode. A hearing instrument is also provided.
