A technology by which content image data is streaming-distributed in various distribution modes is disclosed an information processing apparatus includes: an execution unit configured to generate image data of a content in response to operation information; an acceptance unit configured to accept a designation of a distribution form of the image data; and a transmission processing unit configured to transmit the image data to a distribution destination. When the acceptance unit accepts a designation of a first distribution form and a designation of a second distribution form, the transmission processing unit transmits first image data and second image data to respective corresponding distribution destinations.

An image of a folder linked to one program is displayed on a display section by a simpler operation than a conventional operation. A control section displays a program icon image on a display section, the program icon image being an image associated with a program, and being an image causing processing related to the program to be performed in response to reception of a predetermined operation on the image. The control section changes the program icon image displayed on the display section and associated with the program to a folder corresponding image in response to reception of an instruction to generate a folder linked to the program, the folder corresponding image being an image associated with the folder linked to the program, and being an image causing the program corresponding image associated with the program linked to the folder to be displayed on the display section in response to reception of the predetermined operation on the image.

The present invention is intended to realize character string input using two or more devices by an efficient technique. A character string input system includes a first information processing apparatus and a second information processing apparatus. The first information processing apparatus acquires an operation done on a first input device and acquires a first character string on the basis of the acquired operation. The second information processing apparatus acquires an operation done on a second input device and acquires a second character string on the basis of the acquired operation. The first information processing apparatus outputs an input character string on the basis of the first character string acquired by the time input of the second character string is started by use of the second input device and the second character string.

Disclosed herein is an information processor including: an acquisition section adapted to acquire, from other information processor, information about a connection status between the information processors; and a message processing section adapted to display a message on the basis of the connection status information. The connection status information includes information about a communication environment of the other information processor, and the message processing section displays a message about the communication environment of the other information processor.
