Abstract: The disclosed invention is related to microwave radiation as a method for the synthesis metal-ion solid-state electrolytes from the group known as antiperovskites or inverse perovskites, and more specifically doped or andoped antiperovskites and the use of microwave radiation to synthesize solid-state oxyhalide electrolytes or their doped derivatives with enhanced metal-ion conductivity resulting in higher purity at a lower cost and applicable for large-scale commercial applications.
