Abstract: In radio circuitry, transceiver circuitry wirelessly exchanges data signals with wireless User Equipment (UEs). Radio Resource Control (RRC) circuitry receives individual subscriber data for individual ones of the UEs. The RRC circuitry transfers the individual subscriber data to Media Access Control (MAC) circuitry. The MAC circuitry selects individual Discontinuous Reception (DRX) duty cycles for the individual ones of the UEs based their individual subscriber data. The transceiver circuitry wirelessly exchanges subsequent data signals with the UEs using the selected individual DRX duty cycles for the individual ones of the UEs.

Abstract: In a wireless network, a Distributed Unit (DU) wirelessly receives a service request from User Equipment (UE) and transfers the service request to a Centralized Unit (CU). The CU transfers the service request to a network controller which selects an individual functionality split for the UE. The DU wirelessly exchanges user communications with the UE. The DU circuitry processes the user communications with some of a Physical Layer (PHY), Media Access Control (MAC), Radio Link Control (RLC), Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP), Radio Resource Control (RRC), and Service Data Adaptation Protocol (SDAP) based on the selected functionality split. The CU circuitry processes the user communications the rest of the PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC, and SDAP based on the selected functionality split.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for improving user equipment (UE) beam effectiveness for a high mobility user. The system calculates at least one shift value for a UE based on a reference signal transmitted by the UE. When it is determined that the at least one shift value for the UE is greater than a predetermined threshold, the system will analyze at least past shift value. Based on this analysis, the system will predict a future shift value for the first UE beam. Then, instruction are provided for the modification of one or more of a first UE beam or a second UE beam.

Abstract: A wireless network controller selects a network slice for a User Equipment (UE). The wireless network controller selects a functionality split for the UE based on the selected network slice and indicates the selected functionality split to a Centralized Unit (CU). Abstract: Radio circuitry controls wireless transmit power to User Equipment (UEs). The radio circuitry receives wireless signals generated using different Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) constellation sizes. The circuitry converts the wireless signals into data symbols and converts the data symbols into uplink data. The radio circuitry determines when average symbol error is excessive for a set of QAM constellation sizes. The radio circuitry determines when the UEs are concentrated in an inner coverage range. When both the average symbol error is excessive and the UEs are concentrated in the inner range, the radio circuitry reduces transmit power and transmits wireless signals to the UEs at the reduced transmit power. When the average symbol error is no longer excessive or when the UEs are no longer concentrated in the inner range, the radio circuitry increases transmit power and transmits wireless signals to the UEs at the increased power level.
