    摘要: The various embodiments provide systems, devices, and methods which include an acoustic tag configured to transmit an acoustic signal through a contact medium that may be received by an acoustic modem, with the acoustic signal configured to transmit information. By modulating sound traveling through an acoustic connection between the fluid container and a pump, meter or valve, information such as an identifier of the fluid or container may be transmitted without risk of confusion with other fluid containers in the vicinity. In a medical embodiment, IV fluid and the IV drip tube provide a fluid and plastic acoustic connection to an IV pumping or metering device and an IV bag through which sound may be transmitted. The transmission of identification information through this physical connection may insure that the pumping or metering device only communicates with the IV bag coupled to the pump. Acoustic tags may be active or passive.

A line-candidate identifying unit identifies candidates of lines that constitute a contour of a subject region, on the basis of a captured image. A line-probability calculating unit calculates, for each identified candidate, line probability information representing a probability that the candidate is a line that constitutes the contour of the subject region, on the basis of feature values of positions located at or within a reference distance from the candidate in the captured image. A region-probability calculating unit calculates region probability information representing a probability that a target region surrounded by a predetermined number of candidates chosen from the identified candidates is the subject region, on the basis of the line probability information of the predetermined number of candidates. A subject-region detecting unit detects the subject region, on the basis of the calculated region probability information.

    摘要: An image processing apparatus includes a calculating unit, an edge-position detecting unit, an identifying unit, and a subject-region detecting unit. For each color separation image, the calculating unit calculates a gradient direction of an edge gradient and an edge intensity at each position on the basis of a color captured image. The edge-position detecting unit detects edge positions in each color separation image on the basis of the gradient directions of the edge gradients and the edge intensities. For each position, the identifying unit identifies the gradient direction of the edge gradient and the edge intensity at the position in one of the plural color separation images that includes the largest edge intensity at the position. The subject-region detecting unit detects a subject region on the basis of the detected edge positions, the identified gradient directions of the edge gradients, and the identified edge intensities.
