Methods include, among other things, contacting a T cell that expresses TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL, Apo-2L) or TRAIL receptor (DR4 or DR5) with a molecule that binds to TRAIL (Apo-2L), a molecule that binds to TRAIL receptor (DR4 or DR5), or with a soluble TRAIL (Apo-2L) reagent.
