Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for providing shipping services via an electronic procurement or spend management system. A user logged into an electronic procurement or spend management system can choose to purchase shipping services. The disclosed system and method solicit information from the user regarding the package to be shipped. Upon the user entering the required information the system is configured to send a pre-paid, printable, electronic shipping label to a buyer interface accessible by the user. The user can then print the electronic label and attach the printed label to the package to be shipped. The purchase of the shipping services is recorded in the electronic procurement or spend management system enabling the purchase to be tracked like the purchases of goods made via an electronic procurement or spend management system.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for automated reporting of any vendor noncompliance with purchaser-specified requirements in handling shipment of ordered products. The invention receives base data related to a purchaser order from a purchaser. Meanwhile, it obtains shipping data related to a shipment of ordered product in fulfillment of the purchaser order by a vendor. After comparing the shipping data against the base data, a vendor noncompliance report can be automatically generated. Based upon the shipping data in combination with the base data, the present invention can generate various reports for the purchaser to track shipment status of ordered products and check a variety of vendors' performances.

Abstract: Methods and systems disclosed herein are used to track packages sent via an intra-organizational mail system, even when such mail system includes shipping some packages in bulk to remote organizational locations via an external carrier. A package administration system generates package identifiers to be associated with packages. In the event that such packages are aggregated with other packages destined for a common location, the package identifiers are associated with a tracking identifier identifying the consolidated master package containing a plurality of such packages.
