摘要： An up-assist/soft close support mechanism for a cabinet door that opens by moving upwardly and then rearwardly to a partly horizontal position above the cabinet. The mechanism includes pairs of unequal length links on opposite end walls of the cabinet. One of those links is designed as a bell crank. A gas cylinder is coupled between one arm of the bell crank and the cabinet end wall, while the second arm of the bell crank is connected to the door. When a user begins to open the door, the gas cylinder exerts a turning movement about the bell crank which assists opening movement of the door. Conversely, when a user begins to close the door, the bell crank turns in the opposite direction and exerts a compressive force on the cylinder, providing a “soft close” function.

摘要： A power column providing a conduit for power and communications wiring in a building includes a column structure having electrical power outlets and video data modules (VDMs) accessible on opposite flat end faces of the column structure. An isolated electrical raceway within the column structure includes the electrical outlets. The column structure is pre-wired electrically with wiring that extends through the raceway to the top end of the structure. Pre-wiring allows the column to be installed and then connected to an electrical supply after installation.

摘要： A wall system for partitioning interior space within a building includes an internal frame made up of vertical posts and horizontal rails extending between the posts. Panels providing a fascia defining a covering on the frame are coupled to the panel by plug-in connectors. The panels may include “smart” elements or fascias providing writing or tack board surfaces, or an accessory element to which shelves or other accessories can be coupled. Heavier capacity shelves can be coupled directly to the posts of the frame. Electrical and/or data connections can be provided via a horizonal rail incorporated in the skin. The rails can include a plug-in module and wire management channels extending outwardly from the module. The wall system may incorporate a pocket door built on the same principle as the overall wall structure. Also disclosed are a pivot door structure and a patch plate for fitting a standard lockset or latchset to a glass door.
