摘要： A rotary cutting device suitable for stump grinding comprises a power shaft having a fixed annular flange, a segmented tool carrier removably mounted to the flange and constituted by plural segments which together form a disc. Each of the segments of the tool carrier have a hub portion and a unitary arm that extends out radially from the hub. Cutting tools are mounted to each arm and together provide a cutting tool array about the periphery of the cutting device.

The chisel elements may be laterally offset, and the stump remover may also have a pivot member for engaging a tree stump when the stump remover is placed on the stump by the operator. 摘要： A portable, self-contained stump remover, that may be hand held by the operator, has an engine driven cutting device whose cutting teeth rotate through a circular path at least a part of which lies below a lower base surface that engages and rests on a tree stump when the stump remover is placed on the stump by the operator. By manually moving the stump remover across the stump so that the rotating cutting teeth follow the base surface, which surface serves to support, guide and stabilize the stump remover, the stump will be cut away and ground down to the cutting depth determined by the extent to which the cutting teeth project below the base surface.

摘要： A rotary cutter grinder that cuts and grinds upon its circumferential surface is well suited for stump grinding and the like applications. The rotary cutter grinder is constituted by a hub portion for mounting to the power output shaft of a prime mover and plural arms unitary with the hub portion. These arms are substantially uniformly spaced about the hub portion and extend radially outwardly therefrom. A cutting tool, usually a tungsten carbide cutting tool, is mounted to each of the arms at a positive rake angle relative to the perpendicular to the direction of motion by the cutting tool.
