摘要： A method and apparatus for displaying a state of current consumption of a battery in a portable terminal are provided. The method includes measuring a value of consumed current at a preset period, supplying the measured current value to an Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) through an ADC port, confirming battery compensation offset values by the ADC, determining whether values corresponding to the battery compensation offset values are present in a preset table, and if it is determined that the values are present, calculating a battery voltage level compensation value with reference to the table, applying the battery voltage level compensation value to an actual detected voltage, and displaying a remaining amount of the battery according to the compensation value applied voltage.

摘要： A method is provided for performing a camera function including a zoom function by which an image of a subject is photographed in zoom steps so that the image is magnified or reduced. The method comprises the steps of detecting a distance between the subject and a camera, if a shutter key for photographing an image of the subject in a mode for photographing the subject in full size of a screen of a display section is input, regulating the magnification of the zoom in a zoom step stored in advance, corresponding to the detected distance, and photographing the image of the subject in a regulated magnification of the zoom. The optimum zoom step is automatically regulated according to the distance between the subject and the camera, and the image of the subject can be photographed in the full size of the screen of the display section without regulating the zoom directly.

The method comprises displaying the selected background image for a predetermined time, in a background image display request condition; determining whether an urgent character message display condition has occurred while the background image is displayed; upon detection of the urgent character message display condition, stopping display of the background image and displaying the urgent character message; and upon detection of a normal character message display condition, continuing to display the background image, and after expiration of a predetermined time, displaying the normal character message.

摘要： An apparatus and method for controlling a zoom function of positively or negatively magnifying an image in a mobile communication terminal having a camera. The apparatus and method include registering predetermined keys such that the keys are uniquely mapped to zoom levels of the camera; and if any one of the registered keys is input in a camera mode of the mobile communication terminal, adjusting a zoom magnification to a zoom level corresponding to the input key. Accordingly, a user can easily control a zoom magnification by pushing a number key once without having to continuously push a zoom control key in a camera mode. In the mobile communication terminal, a zoom control can be performed by pushing number keys used in the mobile communication terminal without using a separate key for zoom control.

摘要： An apparatus and method are provided for implementing a camera function of a mobile communication terminal having a zooming function capable of enlarging or reducing an image. The apparatus and method include storing zooming levels of a camera such that the zooming levels are mapped to preset shutter speeds on a one-to-one basis, detecting a shutter speed corresponding to a requested zooming level in response to a user's request for zooming level control in a camera mode, and photographing an image according to the detected shutter speed upon the input of a shutter key for an image photographing operation of the camera. Therefore, it is possible to photograph an image at a constant brightness by varying a shutter speed according to the zooming level of a camera.
