Abstract: A method for recognizing touch input in a touch screen based device is provided. The method for recognizing touch includes: checking a location of the touch input when a touch is inputted; checking a changed location of the touch when a location of the touch is changed; and recognizing that the touch is released in the location of the touch input when touch release occurs in the changed location.
