摘要： Embodiments of the invention generally provide a method and apparatus for logging and monitoring communication sessions terminating and originating in a home network. One embodiment of a method for monitoring a communication session within a home network includes routing the communication session to a device in the home network via a residential gateway, the residential gateway being equipped with Universal Plug and Play and Session Initiation Protocol capabilities, and storing data related to the communication session in a database coupled to the residential gateway.
