    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a housing and a plurality of signal conductors held within the housing. The housing includes a mating shroud protruding forward from a front wall of the housing and defining a port that receives a mating circuit card therein. Each of the signal conductors includes a mating contact disposed within the mating shroud and a mounting contact that projects beyond a bottom end of the housing to electrically connect to a circuit board. The mounting contacts are located within a termination area of the electrical connector. The housing defines a nesting cavity extending rearward from the front wall along the bottom end. The nesting cavity is disposed between the mating shroud and the termination area along a longitudinal axis of the electrical connector. The nesting cavity is configured to accommodate a discrete, second connector that is mounted to the circuit board.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a housing, a lock mechanism, a trigger, and a strap. The lock mechanism is mounted on the housing and has a locking member. The lock mechanism is movable between a locking position in which the locking member locks the electrical connector to a mating electrical connector and an unlocking position in which the locking member is disengaged from the mating electrical connector. The trigger is pivotally mounted on the housing and is movable between a deactivated position and an activated position. The trigger moves the lock mechanism from the locking position to the unlocking position as the trigger moves between the deactivated position and the activated position. The strap is connected to the trigger and moves the trigger from the deactivated position to the activated position upon applying an activation force to the strap.

    Abstract: A power connector includes first and second power terminals having first and second contact stacks and first and second plates for termination to corresponding power element. The contact stacks have contacts separate and discrete from each other and from the plate. Each contact has a base and a mating beam. The bases are aligned and mechanically and electrically coupled to the plate. A housing has an end wall and a fastener that mechanically and electrically couples the bases to the plate. The power terminals are arranged such that the first and second mating beams oppose each other across a mating slot that receives a bus bar with the first mating beams mechanically and electrically engaging a first bus rail at a first side of the bus bar and the second mating beams mechanically and electrically engaging a second bus rail at a second side of the bus bar.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a plurality of contact modules and ground shields. The ground shields are interleaved with the contact modules within a housing, such that the ground shields alternate with the contact modules. The contact modules include multiple electrical signal conductors held by a dielectric body of the respective contact module. Each of the ground shields includes a plate that defines a bridge slot therethrough and a ground bridge extending from the plate. The ground bridge extends from the plate at a location that is spaced apart from the bridge slot. The ground bridges of the ground shields extend laterally across corresponding contact modules. Distal tips of the ground bridges are received within the bridge slots of adjacent ground shields disposed along opposite sides of the corresponding contact modules, and the distal tips engage edges of the bridge slots to electrically connect the ground shields together.

    Abstract: A power connector includes a housing having a mating slot at a front having terminal channels holding power terminals between the slot and the corresponding side of the housing. Each power terminal includes a plate extending from the slot through a rear of the housing to an exterior of the housing for termination to a corresponding power element. The power terminal has a contact array of contacts discrete from and coupled to the plate. Each contact has a plate interface electrically coupled to the plate and a bus bar interface configured to be electrically coupled to a corresponding rail of the bus bar. The contacts are arranged along a corresponding side of the slot for interfacing with the bus bar.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a base disposed along a central axis having a base terminal end and a base contact end. A lever arm is disposed along the central axis and has a biasing end and a lever arm contact end. At least two conductors are interposed between the base and the lever arm, and include contact ends opposite each other separated by an opening configured to receive a power busbar. The conductors have terminal ends opposite each other and separated by a slot configured to receive an electrical component. A hinge pivotally attaches between the base and the lever arm at a pivot axis for rotation of the lever arm about the pivot axis between an engaged position for electrical coupling of the at least two conductors with the power busbar and a disengaged position for electrical decoupling of the at least two conductors from the power busbar.
