Abstract: Described herein are methods of treatment of cancer by administering a therapeutically effective amount of a cytotoxic alkylating agent and a nanoparticle formulation containing an inhibitor of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase 1. Also disclosed are treatment regimens involving parenteral administration of a therapeutically effective amount of a cytotoxic alkylating agent and a nanoparticle formulation containing an inhibitor of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase 1.
