Abstract: A gas discharge type data display device is formed of a stack of alternately conductive and insulating elements for localizing the discharge by proper potential distribution, the control of which is effected by a conductive screen electrode positioned between anode and cathode. Discharge is confined in a plurality of cavities provided in said stack. The device permits a storage of data in said cavities for an indefinite period of time.
