Abstract: A flush toilet includes a bowl having a waste-receiving surface and a rim; the bowl comprises a front region on the front side of a center line extending in the left-right direction and equally dividing the bowl in the front-rear direction, and a rear region on the rear side thereof; whereby on either the left or right side in the front area of the bowl, on the rim, a rim water passageway is formed for passing flush water supplied from a conduit, and a rim spout port is formed, and the rim water passageway comprises: an outside passageway extending from the inlet thereof through the rim interior toward the front; a bent passageway bending inward from the downstream end of this outside passageway; and an inside passageway extending from this bent passageway toward the rear, up to the rim spout port.

Abstract: A flush toilet includes a bowl having a waste-receiving surface and a rim; on either the left or right side inside the front area of this bowl, a rim water passageway is formed and a rim spouting port is formed; the water passageway formed at the downstream side of this rim spouting port forms a flow path cross section with the inner circumferential surface of the rim, the shelf surface formed under this inner circumferential surface, and the overhang portion formed over the inner circumferential surface; the height dimension of the flow path cross section is set to increase with distance on the downstream side, and the width thereof is set to decrease with distance on the downstream side, so that from the rim spout port toward the downstream side, the cross sectional area of the flow path cross section is approximately constant.

Abstract: A flush toilet includes: a bowl portion having a waste-receiving surface, a rim and a recess; a rim spout portion configured to spout flush water to form a swirl flow which swirlingly flows along the inner peripheral surface; a drainage conduit having an inlet connecting with the recess to discharge waste therethrough, wherein the waste-receiving surface of the bowl portion is composed of a left waste-receiving sub-surface and a right waste-receiving sub-surface defined, respectively, on both sided of a center line with respect to a lateral direction of the bowl portion, the left waste-receiving sub-surface and the right waste-receiving sub-surface are formed, respectively, in different shapes in a front region of the bowl portion so as to allow flush water spouted from the rim spout portion to form a major stream which flows from a front end of the bowl portion into the recess.
