    摘要: Provided is a flame detector capable of simple and reliable determination of the occurrence or nonoccurrence of fire resulting from a flame based on waveforms detected from detection signals from infrared sensors. The flame detector includes an infrared sensor for detecting an infrared ray, a RAM serving as a waveform storing unit for storing a plurality of waveforms detected from an output signal from the infrared sensor, and a CPU serving as a wavelength determining unit for determining succession of waveforms when at least a first predetermined number of waveforms stored in the RAM are produced for a first predetermined time and at least a second predetermined number of waveforms different from the first predetermined number of waveforms are produced for a second predetermined time different from the first predetermined time.

    摘要: Provided is a smoke detecting apparatus capable of detecting occurrence of smoke at high sensitivity while suppressing an effect of disturbance. The smoke detecting apparatus for detecting occurrence of smoke by subjecting an image captured by a monitoring camera to image processing includes: an image memory (10) for storing a plurality of images captured by the monitoring camera in a time series; and a smoke detection area selecting portion (20) for calculating a luminance histogram of the same pixel for each predetermined pixel a plurality of times in a past predetermined period based on the plurality of images stored in the image memory (10), detecting presence or absence of a luminance value that has been newly generated due to occurrence of one of an intrusive object and smoke based on the luminance histogram, and identifying candidate regions to be subjected to the image processing.

    摘要: A fire detection system extracts fire (flame) portions from images produced by a monitoring camera while eliminating portions depicting artificial light sources. Portions depicting a light source that emits light are extracted from images produced by the monitoring camera. The system judges whether or not pairs of the extracted portions of images produced with the passage of time have a relationship of correspondence. If the extracted portions are contained in images produced for a given period of time, the light source is judged not to be the lamps of a moving vehicle, and is therefore identified as a fire. An area of an overlapping part of the extracted portions of images produced at different time instants, and an overall area of the extracted portions are computed, and the ratio of the area of the overlapping part to the overall area, that is, the area ratio between the extracted portions is computed. Incorrect alarming due to a vehicle at a standstill or a rotating lamp can be prevented.
