摘要： A server stores original data without a water-mark. When a user at a terminal apparatus connected with the server requests the server to display the original data on a display of the terminal apparatus, the server transforms the original data into an image data. Then the server adds a water-mark to the image data and transmits the image data with the water-mark to the terminal apparatus.

摘要： A distribution server and includes a communicator that communicates with multifunction apparatuses via a network a menu generator that generates menu information based on information obtained by the communicator, the information including display capability information and job capability information for each multifunction apparatus. The menu information includes information for execution of a job and a menu name assigned for the job. A data memory stores the generated menu information and a distributor retrieves, from the data memory, menu information requested by the multifunction apparatus and distributes, via the network, the menu information to the requesting multifunction apparatus.

摘要： An OCR document sheet is printed at an order terminal side, and contents of an order written in the OCR document sheet by an transmitter are read by a scanner of a scanner control element at the order terminal side. The contents of the order are converted into pieces of character recognized data according to the optical character recognition. Also, character patterns such as "commodity name" are generated in a character generating element. The character recognized data and the character patterns are displayed, and the character recognized data are corrected when a transmitter desires the correction of the data displayed. Thereafter, the character recognized data are transmitted to an order-receiving center to inform the center of the contents of the order. Also, the character recognized data and the character patterns are printed out to record the contents of the order at the order terminal side. Because the character patterns are displayed with the character recognized data, the transmitter can easily realize the meaning of the character recognized data.

摘要： A communication system is composed of an OCR-FAX apparatus for reading contents of an order written in an optical character recognition (OCR) document sheet and performing an optical character recognition for the contents and an OCR center apparatus for receiving pieces of character recognized data obtained in the OCR-FAX apparatus and transmitting pieces of format information of the OCR document sheet to the OCR-FAX apparatus. A basic program of an OCR recognition program is stored in advance in a ROM region of an IC card. A subordinate program of the OCR recognition program and a piece of OCR document sheet identifying information are temporarily stored in a SRAM region of the IC card and are transferred to an EEPROM region of the IC card. The format information are temporarily stored in the SRAM region and are transferred to a format information storing unit. The format information stored is renewed by transmitting pieces of updated format information from the OCR center apparatus, and an updated OCR document sheet is printed out in the OCR-FAX apparatus according to the format information.
