Abstract: A surface cleaner includes a base movable over a surface to be cleaned and having a suction inlet and a brushroll removably coupled to the base and rotatable about a brushroll axis, and a brushroll cover coupled to the base. A latch is movable between an unlocked position in which the brushroll is removable from the base and a locked position in which the brushroll is coupled to the base. The brushroll cover includes an actuator that moves the latch from the unlocked position toward the locked position when the brushroll cover is attached to the base such that when the brushroll cover is coupled to the base, the latch is retained in the locked position by the actuator to prevent removal of the brushroll. When the brushroll cover is uncoupled from the base, the latch moves to the unlocked position such that the brushroll is removable from the base.

Abstract: A surface cleaner operable to clean a surface. The surface cleaner includes a supply tank configured to store a liquid, a heater including a reservoir, a pump positioned between the supply tank and the heater, the pump operable to draw the liquid from the supply tank and pump the liquid into the reservoir, the heater operable to superheat the liquid. The surface cleaner also includes a pressure control element in fluid communication with the heater and operable to depressurize the liquid into vapor, a nozzle disposed in the base and in fluid communication with the pressure control element, the nozzle configured to dispense the vapor, and a cleaning pad coupled to the base such that the cleaning pad directly contacts the surface.

Abstract: A cleaning apparatus is operable to clean a floor cleaner. The floor cleaner includes a base movable along a surface to be cleaned, a brushroll motor, and a brushroll rotatable about a brushroll axis relative to the base by the brushroll motor. The cleaning apparatus includes a tray that is configured to removably receive the floor cleaner in a mounted position.
