    摘要: Disclosed is a rolling cone drill bit with inner row cutting teeth having portions shielded with an erosion-resistant material that differs in material properties from the tooth's core portion that is more impact resistant. The tooth includes shielding on at least a portion of the upstream end and along portions of the flanking surfaces. It includes shield-free portions on the flanks between the root and the tooth crest. Most of the tooth's perimeter is made of the core material and is free of shielding. Gage row teeth may be angled and form a channel to direct drilling fluid from the gage region of the borehole to locations where the inner row teeth are generating most cuttings. Nozzles are provided with non-uniform orientations.

    摘要: A rolling cone drill bit for cutting a borehole comprises a rolling cone cutter mounted on a bit body and adapted for rotation about a cone axis. Further, the bit comprises a tooth extending from the cone cutter. The tooth includes a base at the cone cutter and an elongate chisel crest distal the cone cutter. The crest extends along a crest median line between a first crest end and a second crest end and includes an elongate crest apex. The tooth also includes a first flanking surface extending from the base to the crest, and a second flanking surface extending from the base to the crest. The first flanking surface and the second flanking surface taper towards one another to form the chisel crest. Moreover, the tooth includes a first raised rib extending continuously along the first flanking surfaces and across the chisel crest to the second flanking surface.

    摘要: A binary shifter which utilizes shifter control logic to shift a 64-bit binary word by shift amounts up to 63 bit positions using a pre-multiplexer and shifter array configuration capable of shifting up to 32 bit positions. The shifter control logic executes two cycles of shifting operations to achieve shift amounts greater than 32 bits. An improved shifter pre-multiplexer and array for shifting 64-bit binary words by up to 32 bit positions in one cycle is disclosed. The improved shifter pre-multiplexer and array uses 9:1 pre-multiplexer cells with tristate outputs to place input data on selected discrete sections of horizontal data lines allowing for a reduced number of cells and control lines.

    摘要: An antenna (10) suitable for multiple frequency band utilization includes three impedance elements (11,12 and 13). The second impedance element (12), which may also be called a network (12), includes a coil (L.sub.2) and at least one other conductor (17) in operative association therewith. The second impedance element may be electrically connected to both a first impedance element (11), which may include a linear conductor (14) coupled to a radio, and a third impedance element (13), which may include a coil (L.sub.1). By constructing the network (12) so as to have appropriate dimensions, antenna 10 will have a plurality of natural resonant frequencies substantially within or nearby at least each higher band of frequencies of interest.
