    摘要： Methods for diagnosing and treating a cancer or a tumor in a patient are provided. The methods can comprise the steps of obtaining a biological sample from the patient and analyzing the sample for the presence or absence of Coiled Coil Helix Cristae Morphology 1 protein (CHCM1). A patient is diagnosed with cancer or a tumor provided that CHCM1 is overexpressed. The diagnosed patient is treated by administering a cancer or tumor treatment. The methods can also comprise the steps of obtaining a sample of cancer or tumor cells from the patient, determining a level of CHCM1 expression in the sample of cancer or tumor cells, and administering to the patient a compound for reducing the expression of CHCM1 or for blocking or inhibiting function of CHCM1.
