Abstract: A feature value calculation device is a feature value calculation device that calculates a feature value indicating optical characteristics of an object to be measured in a flow cytometry method, the device including: a signal information acquisition unit to acquire signal information indicating a temporal change in intensity of the electromagnetic waves which is generated by a light detector receiving the modulated electromagnetic waves from the object to be measured; a region setting unit that sets a region to be processed in waveform data in which a feature value is calculated in a domain of the waveform data based on the signal information acquired by the signal information acquisition unit; and a feature value calculation unit that calculates the feature value from the waveform data in the region set by the region setting unit.
