摘要: The display space of a multiple door display merchandiser is illuminated by one or more vertically extending lamps (80) disposed intermediate the vertical sides of an access opening to the display space. A multiple door assembly (44) covers the access opening. To enhance the illumination of the display space, a pair of vertically extending side reflectors (92) are provided, one extending along one side of the access opening and the other extending along the other side of the access opening. An additional reflector may be mounted to an interior facing surface of the door along an upper front region of the door and/or a lower front region.

摘要: An apparatus and method for use in a combustion system of a gas-fired furnace to inhibit formation of oxides of nitrogen (NO.sub.x) by the combustion system thereby reducing NO.sub.x emissions from the combustion system. The apparatus is made of a material which is positioned at the interface of the primary zone and the secondary zone of a combustion flame produced by a two-zone burner which is part of the combustion system, to temper the combustion flame by absorbing thermal energy from the combustion flame. The device sufficiently tempers the combustion flame to limit peak combustion flame temperatures and residence times at these peak combustion flame temperatures to levels which inhibit formation of oxides of nitrogen.

摘要: A holder for use with a refrigerant purity sampling tube is provided with a base and two end fittings. The end fittings are adapted to establish a releasably fluid tight relationship with the opposite ends of a sampling tube. One end fitting is fixed to the base and the other is slideably mounted for movement toward and away from the fixed fitting. A spring biases the movable end fitting toward a fixed fitting. Movement of the movable fitting against the biasing force allows removal and insertion of a sampling tube. When a new tube is inserted, the biasing force assures fluid tight engagement with the seal.

摘要: A photocatalytic air purifier is disclosed. The photocatalytic purifier includes filter structures coated with a catalytic material such as titanium dioxide. One or more UV lamps are interposed between the filter structures. The catalytic layer reacts with airborne VOCs and bioaerosols when activated by the UV lamps to thereby oxidize the VOCs and destroy the bioaerosols. The photocatalytic air purifier does not need to be replaced or regenerated after a period of continuous usage. The photocatalytic purifier of the present invention substantially eliminates odors, VOCs, and bioaerosols from air directed through the fan coil. The photocatalytic air purifier includes a control system that optimizes operating costs. Because of these features, service, maintenance, and filter replacement are reduced to a minimum. At the same time, the well being of persons living in the space conditioned by the photocatalytic air purifier is improved.

摘要: A method and apparatus for recovering heat from the combustion gas discharged from a submerged horizontal burner. The burner is at atmospheric pressure while an induction fan reduces the pressure inside the heat exchanger and draws the ignited combustion gas through a submerged combustion chamber and through the liquid to a flue. The liquid flows in counterflow arrangement with the combustion gas which further enhances the heat transfer between the combustion gas and the liquid.
