摘要： An adjustable bed having an upper frame mounted to translate with respect to a lower frame. A center support is connected to the upper frame and has a head support pivotally connected to one end thereof. A thigh support is pivotally connected to the other end of the center support and a foot support is connected to the other end of the thigh support. The bed includes an improved mounting for a massage motor in which a massage motor is suspended from a mounting plate resting on a mattress pad or base supported by an articulated support platform.

摘要： A system and methods for controlling adjustable furniture 60. The adjustable furniture 60 may be controlled by a control unit 34 in communication with a remote controller 40. A user may input commands to the remote controller 40 through a manual input device 42 or a microphone 43. The control unit 34 may be operable to adjust at least one actuable device element 28a-d, 32a-d, 52a, 52b in response to the commands. The adjustments of actuable device elements 28a-d, 32a-d, 52a, 52b may be measured by a sensor 58 that generates a sensor signal operable to be analyzed by the control unit 34 to determine an execution status of the command. The execution status may be indicated on the remote controller 40 by a speaker 44 or a display 45. The control unit 34 may also be operable to send signals for the remote controller 40 to make a noise.

摘要： A pocketed coil spring assembly for use in the manufacture of mattresses or cushions or the like comprising a plurality of longitudinally extending strips of integrally connected closed fabric pockets each containing at least one helically coiled wire compression spring having its axis disposed transversely of the strip, and wherein each of the strips contains a single band of interconnected springs formed from a single length of wire into a plurality of interconnected helical coil springs. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, each strip of spring containing pockets is spaced from each adjacent strip by a ply of resilient foam material, and each of the plies of resilient foam material are secured to the sidewalls of adjacent strips.

摘要： A spring interior comprising a plurality of longitudinally extending bands of springs disposed side by side and connected together by helical lacing wires in the top and bottom faces of the bands. Each band of springs comprises a single length of wire formed into a plurality of substantially vertical coil springs interconnected by interconnecting segments of wire located alternately in the top and bottom faces of the bands. The coil springs of each row are interconnected by interconnecting segments with the adjacent coils of the same row. The interconnecting segments comprise a planar bridging portion which extend generally lengthwise of the row and arcuate end sections which extend generally transversely of the row. The arcuate end sections are planar and connect the coil springs to the bridging portions of the interconnecting segments. The arcuate end sections are of approximately the same radius as the coil springs to which the arcuate end sections are connected.

摘要： An apparatus for forming and assembling spring interiors is provided in which, in the preferred embodiment, adjustable reforming dies adjacent a cutting station lengthen the supporting structure of a bridging portion of the coil band that interconnects coils near the end of the band to compensate for the change of length caused by the cutting of the endmost bridging portion separating spring assemblies. Adjustable dies are also provided to vary the length of the bridging portions when they are initially formed. The coils are interlaced at a lacing station from continuous lacing coil bands.
