The main body (96) closely contacts the outer surface of the wire W and the inner surface of the mounting portion (15). The shake preventing portion (94) closely contacts the outer surface of the wire (W) and the inner surface of the wire insertion hole (55) of the holder (50).

A retainer (39) is formed integrally with the auxiliary connector (14) via a hinge (75) at an opening edge of a retainer accommodating hole (73) in a side surface of the auxiliary connector (14) facing a direction intersecting the deforming direction (DD) of locks (40). The retainer (39) has locking protrusions (78) for redundantly locking the terminal fittings (13) in the cavities (35). The locking protrusions (78) of the retainer (39) are arranged at substantially the same positions for all cavities (35).

The lock (19) engages an interlocking portion (18) in the frame (15) when the housing (12) and the frame (15) are connected properly. A bracket (16) is inserted into a deformation area (62) for the lock (19) to prevent deformation of the lock (19). Thus, the lock (19) remains engaged with the interlocking portion (18) even if a force acts in a direction to separate the housing (12) and the frame (15).
