摘要: A fixing unit includes a heater, a fixing member, a press roller, a sensor, a processor, and a memory. The fixing member is heated by heat generated by the heater. The press roller forms a nip portion through which a medium having a fixing target material transferred thereto passes, between the press roller and the fixing member. The sensor measures a temperature of the fixing member. The processor controls the temperature of the fixing member so as to be a target value by acquiring the temperature detected by the sensor in a first period, and also acquires the temperature detected by the sensor in a second period shorter than the first period. The memory records the temperature acquired in the second period.

The controller is configured to set new sheets as a type of sheets stored in the first sheet storage and image-decolored sheets as a type of sheets stored in the second sheet storage, switch a sheet feeding source from the first sheet storage to the second sheet storage when the first sheet storage runs out of sheets during execution of a first image forming job that includes no sheet post-processing, and stop image forming by the image forming unit when the first sheet storage runs out of sheets during execution of a second image forming job that includes sheet post-processing.

摘要: A decoloring apparatus includes a sheet conveying unit, a scanner, a decoloring unit, and a controller. The decoloring unit decolors the image on the sheet conveyed through the sheet conveying unit. The decoloring unit is positioned downstream of the scanner in a sheet conveying direction. A distance along the sheet conveying direction between the scanner and the decoloring unit is shorter than a length of a first predetermined sheet size and longer than a length of a second predetermined sheet size. A controller determines whether the sheet conveyed by the sheet conveying unit is the first predetermined sheet size or the second predetermined sheet size. The controller performs a mode limiting process if the sheet size is determined to be the first predetermined sheet size.

The controller is configured to control contents of the user interface and to perform a mode limiting processing so that when one of the scanning processing and decoloring processing is set to be executed, the other of the scanning processing and decoloring processing cannot be set to be executed.

摘要: A sheet post-processing apparatus includes a first sensor, a second sensor and a controller. The first sensor detects whether or not a staple for performing a binding processing is prepared in a stapler. The second sensor detects that an amount of the staples held by the stapler has become not more than a prescribed amount. The controller judges whether or not to transfer an operation mode of the sheet post-processing apparatus to a first operation mode to perform the binding processing by the stapler to the sheets to be manually fed, based on a detection result of the second sensor, and judges whether or not to perform the binding processing by the stapler, based on a detection result of the first sensor, after having transferred the operation mode to the first operation mode.

摘要: According to one embodiment, an image erasing apparatus includes a sheet supply section, a discharge tray, a first conveying path, a reader, a second conveying path, an erasing unit and a switching section. A controller controls the first conveying path, the reader, the second conveying path, the erasing unit and the switching section depending on a selected mode. When the selected mode is an erasing mode, the sheet is conveyed on the first conveying path without being read by the reader, conveyed on the second conveying path where the image is erased by the erasing unit, and then conveyed to the discharge tray. When the selected mode is a reading mode, the sheet is conveyed on the first conveying path where the surface of the sheet is read by the reader, and then conveyed to the discharge tray without being conveyed on the second conveying path.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a system for a decoloring information management of a decoloring apparatus includes an decoloring processing unit, a sheet conveying unit, a sheet reading unit, a user ID reading unit, a storing unit configured to store a predetermined information, and a control unit. A sheet on which an image is formed with an decolorable colorant is subject to decoloring processing. The sheet conveying unit conveys the sheet and causes the sheet to pass through the decoloring processing unit. The sheet reading unit is arranged further on an upstream side than the decoloring processing unit. The user ID reading unit reads ID information of a user. The storing unit stores predetermined information. The control unit controls the storage unit to correlate the user ID and the read information by the sheet reading unit.
