摘要： A handheld tape dispenser is configured to store a roll of tape within a frame, the roll of tape comprising a plurality of segments of tape each corresponding to a tape node and comprising one or more electronic components. The handheld tape dispenser drives mechanical components of the handheld tape dispenser to draw tape along a tape feed path, resulting in a segment of tape being removed from the roll of tape for deployment. The handheld tape dispenser determines a unique identifier of a tape node corresponding to the removed segment of tape, associates the unique identifier of the tape node with an asset corresponding to the tape node, and stores the association in a local memory. In real-time or at a later time, the handheld tape dispenser transmits the association to a wireless tracking system.

The support wall can also include one or more apertures positioned adjacent to the recessed cutting track configured to receive a base of a slidable cutter movable along an elongated slot in a lid of the container. The base of the slidable cutter is captured by the recessed cutting track during a cutting operation to secure the lid in a closed position and to apply constant pressure against roll-dispensed stock as it is cut. Roll-dispensed stock containers of the present disclosure can also include a coating on one or more surfaces thereof. The coating can be formed from a material selected to reduce surface friction, increase rigidity, disperse forces associated with a cutter, and/or otherwise enhance characteristics of the container.

During assembly, primary absorbent members, a continuous length of secondary absorbent members, and a continuous cord are advanced in a machine direction. Leading edges of the primary absorbent members are separated from each other in the machine direction by a pitch distance. Discrete secondary absorbent members are cut from the continuous length of secondary absorbent members. Leading edges of the discrete secondary absorbent members are also separated from each other in the machine direction by the pitch distance. The continuous cord is positioned on the secondary absorbent members. And a secondary absorbent member is positioned in contact with a primary absorbent member. A thread is combined with the continuous cord, the secondary absorbent member, and the primary absorbent member.
