    摘要： A snowmobile track drive system wherein the track drive sprockets and idler wheels are mounted to a hollow framed enclosure interior to the track. Slide rails are also mounted to the edges of the enclosure and about which the endless track revolves. The hollow enclosure is further pivotally mounted to the front of the snowmobile chassis, while the back end of the track assembly is pivotally mounted to the chassis via a pair of shock absorbers. Snow and ice buildup interior to the track and encountered shocks are thus reduced.

    摘要： An improved drive unit and suspension arrangement therefor for a small snowmobile having an open tubular frame. The drive unit includes an internal combustion engine and a pulley type transmission. The pulley type transmission is supported within a transmission casing and is affixed to the frame for rigidifying the frame. The suspension permits more vertical compliance than fore and aft compliance for vibration dampening without adversely effecting the rigidity.

    摘要： A suspension arrangement for the steering skis of a snowmobile that permits soft ride through high suspension travels while at the same time prevents roll during cornering. The suspension system includes an element that is moveable with each of the skis during its suspension travel but which does not rotate with the ski during steering. Each of these respective elements is coupled to a torsion bar for loading the torsion bar upon relative vertical movement between the skis so as to resist body roll.

    摘要： An anti-roll and self-centering torsion bar arrangement for the front suspension of a snowmobile. A torsion bar is interconnected between the strut suspensions of the front skis so as to be loaded during cornering and prevent roll. In addition the point of connection between the torsion bar ends and the skis is such that a self-centering force is generated during steering movements. The torsion bar and its connection to the suspension is disposed so that the suspension and forwardmost portion of the body will be protected from damage when obstructions are encountered.
