Abstract: A lock bar can be laterally slidable between an unlocked position in which the lock bar is laterally recessed relative to the side rail and a locked position in which the lock bar is laterally extended relative to the side rail. A side rail supported actuator can include a longitudinally extending actuator arm engageable with the lock bar to slide the lock bar between the unlocked position and the locked position and engageable with, and movable by, the tonneau cover as the tonneau cover moves from the open cover position to the closed cover position. Movement of the lock bar between the locked position and the unlocked position can simultaneously interengage and disengage, respectively, with each of the locking surfaces of the plurality of rectangular elements, which interengagement limits upward movement of the rectangular elements.

Abstract: A tonneau cover system for a vehicle having a cargo box. A first side rail and a second side rail are coupleable to opposite lateral sides of the cargo box. The first side rail and the second side rail include a side rail retention member. A tonneau cover is configured to cover the cargo box and extend between the first side rail and the second side rail. First and second sides of the tonneau cover include at least one tonneau cover retention member. The side rail retention members cooperate with the tonneau cover retention members to maintain the first side and the second side of the tonneau cover in cooperation with the first side rail and the second side rail respectively, and thereby resist lifting of the first side from the first side rail and the second side from the second side rail.

Abstract: A latch can be movably mounted to each of the side rails for movement between an unlocked position and a locked position. A release actuator can be movably mounted to the rear header to extend adjacent both latches for movement between a non-release position and a release position. When the rear header is seated in the rear header seat and the release actuator is in the non-release position, each latch engages the rear header in the locked position to lock the rear header and side rails together. When the rear header is seated in the rear header seat and the release actuator is moved toward the release position, the release actuator engages both latches and moves the latches to the unlocked position to unlock the rear header from both of the side rails.
