    摘要: An electrical connector includes a housing formed in a single piece and including a recess, a compression spring disposed in the recess, and a position assurance element having a head disposed in the recess and inserted through a first end of the compression spring. The compression spring is unloaded in a plugged-in position of the electrical connector into a mating connector and opposes plugging of the electrical connector into the mating connector in a loaded state. The first end of the compression spring exerts a force only on the position assurance element, the position assurance element exerts a force on the one-piece housing, and a second end of the compression spring opposite the first end along a longitudinal axis of the compression spring exerts a force only on the recess of the housing.

    摘要: An electrical connector for a safety restraint system of a motor vehicle comprises a housing, a pair of electrical terminals, a shunt and a connector position assurance (CPA) device. The housing includes a first end and a second end, the second end extending in a mating direction of the connector. Each of the electrical terminals traverses the housing from the first end to the second end. The shunt is adapted to short-circuit the pair of electrical terminals, and comprises two shunt arms each having a contact portion and a linking portion, and a shunt bridge linking the linking portions of the shunt arms. The CPA device is moveably arranged in the housing between an unlocked position and a locked position. In the locked position the CPA device lifts the shunt from a short-circuiting position across the terminals.

    摘要: An electrical connector for connecting with a mating electrical connector in a mating direction includes an electrically conductive terminal having an electrical contact, a housing having a plug-in portion insertable into the mating electrical connector along the mating direction, the plug-in portion having a receptacle receiving the electrical contact, a compressive member arranged within the housing and compressed along the mating direction, and a connector position assurance element (CPA) slidable from an unlocked position to a locked position along the mating direction. The locked position allows the electrical connector to be locked to the mating connector when the electrical connector is connected to the mating connector. A central axis of the compressive member is aligned with a central axis of the plug-in portion in the mating direction.
