Abstract: A relatively non-toxic cleaner formulation comprised of a surfactant, water and at least one solvent having the formula I. RO(C2H4O)uH, II. R''O(C3H6O)vH, III. R''''O(C2H4O)w(C3H6O)xR'''', IV. R''''''O(C2H4O)yR'''''''' (OC2H4)y OR'''''', V. R''''''O(C3H6O)zR'''''''' (OC3H6)z OR'''''', or VI. R''''''O(C2H4O)y(C3H6O)z R'''''''' (OC3H6)z (OC2H4)y OR'''''' wherein the variables are as defined hereinafter. The formulation may be made in a concentration for direct use or as a concentrate to be diluted with water before use. Additional ingredients, such as alkaline ''''builders,'''' hydrotropes, germicides, alcohol, ammonia, etc., may also be present in the formulation.
