ORGANOSILICONE POLYMERS ARE PROVIDED CONTAINING SILICON-CONTAINING UNITS A, B AND C, WHERE A IS CIO4/2, B IS A MONOFUNCTIONAL SILOXY UNIT IN WHICH SILICON IS BONDED TO AT LEAST ONE ORGANIC MOIETY BEARING AN ORGANIC-CAPPEC POLY(OXYALKYLENE) CHAIN, AND C IS A MONOFUNCTIONAL TRIHYDROCARBYLSILOXY INIT, AND IN WHICH THERE ARE FROM ABOUT 0.75 TO ABOUT 2 MOLES OF A, AND FROM ABOUT 0.1 TO ABOUT 1 MOLE OF C, PER MOLE OF B. THE POLYMERS ARE USEFUL AS SURFACTANTS AND FIND PARTICULAR APPLICATION IN THE MANUFACTURE OF FLEXIBLE POLYESTER URETHANE CELLULAR PRODUCTS, INCLUDING FLAME-RETARDED FOAMS.
