Abstract: A method is provided for irreversibly occluding compositions consisting of salts such as metal halides, nitrates and the like, in crystalline metal aluminosilicates, such as the type X and Y zeolites. The salt doped zeolites are useful in the field of adsorption and catalysis, particularly in areas where these contact materials are employed in an acidic environment or corrosive environment.
