Abstract: A method and apparatus for changing the states of gaseous discharge cells in a plasma panel including applying a light flash to the cells simultaneously during a discharge of the cells. Transferring an image to the plasma panel by applying a light flash corresponding to the image to the gaseous discharge cells simultaneously during a repetitive sustaining discharge of the cells.
