The steel comprises the following main components (in wt. %): C 0.07-0.13 Si 0.10-0.45 Mn 1.5-3.1 Cr 2.4-3.6 Ni 0.5-2.0 Mo 0.1-0.7 Al 0.001-0.06 S≤0.003 The steel has a bainitic microstructure comprising up to 20 volume % retained austenite and up to 20 volume % martensite.
