In this case, it is provided that at least one of the sleeves has at least one embossing that forms a sliding surface for the other sleeve. The at least one embossing is preferably introduced by electromagnetic pulse forming.

摘要： A conveyor used in combination with an incinerator that burns refuse into residue including hard objects has a trough having a lower upstream portion underneath the incinerator and positioned to receive the residue therefrom and an upper downstream portion spaced therefrom in a longitudinal transport direction. A body of quenching liquid fills at least the downstream portion of the trough to a liquid level. Respective upstream and downstream wheels at the upstream and downstream ends of the trough rotatable about generally parallel and horizontal axes transverse of the trough and direction support a chain formed of a succession of linked-together plates and having catenary-like upper and lower sketches both of which are in the upstream portion below the liquid level. Thus residue issuing from the incinerator falls into the liquid, is quenched, and lands on the upper chain stretch. A drive connected to at least one of the wheels rotates both the wheels and advances the chain with its upper stretch moving in the transport direction to convey the residue that has fallen onto the upper stretch up out of the liquid to the downstream trough end.

摘要： A bulk-storage apparatus has a large hopper adapted to hold a large supply of bulk material and having a floor formed with a central outlet opening centered on a vertical axis and a side wall extending upward from the floor. An upwardly tapered hood generally centered on the axis and open downwardly toward the opening has a lower edge vertically spaced from the floor around the opening. A drive supported in the hood has a rotary output projecting down into the space between the floor and the lower edge above the opening and carries an arm sweepable over the floor around the opening by the drive. The hood is supported in the hopper on at least one tubular traverse having an inner end secured to and opening into the hood and an outer end secured to and opening outside the hopper. This traverse is of a cross-sectional size big enough that a man can crawl between outside the hopper and inside the hood along the traverse. An openable cover closes the traverse between its ends. Thus the drive in the hood is accessible through the tubular traverse so that a man crawl through the traverse into the hood to service the drive while the hopper is full.

摘要： With a drag chain conveyor there is, for a timely warning of malfunctioning, associated a monitoring apparatus. The drag chain conveyor has a conveyor chain assembly which includes an endless conveyor chain trained about a drive sprocket and a return sprocket and a biasing mechanism for displacing the bearing support of the return sprocket to maintain the chain at a predetermined tension. The monitoring apparatus has at least one sensor connected to the chain assembly for monitoring the magnitude of at least one of the following chain parameters: chain tension, chain wear and chain slack. The sensor is coupled to a signal transmitter which emits a signal upon a nonpermitted deviation from the parameter magnitudes. A signal-responsive device is connected to the signal transmitter for emitting, for example, a visual warning signal.
