Abstract: A valve of the top entry type, having a unique sealing seat structure which includes a rigid base and a resilient sealing face, together with load bearing inserts for limiting the forces between the plug and the seat. The seats are mounted in the valve structure so that line pressure acts to force the seats against the plug in sealing relation therewith.
