Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to provide a custom installable open virtualization application file for on-premise installation via the cloud are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a resource processor to determine a resource capacity for an agent in a private cloud network; a file manipulator to modify an open virtualization appliance (OVA) file by modifying a descriptor file of the OVA file to configure the resource capacity for the agent in the private cloud network, the OVA file being deployed in a public cloud network; and a first interface to transmit an indication to a location of the modified OVA file to a user device, the location of the modified OVA file being the same location as the OVA file.

Abstract: Methods and systems described herein are directed to storing and querying log messages using log message bifurcation. Each log message that exceeds a time limit for storage in a live storage database is bifurcated into a log pattern that is stored in a log-patter database and a metric object that records variable information of the log message in a time-series metric database. The log-pattern database and the time-series metric database: together provide long-term log storage for the information contained in log messages that are too old to be stored in a live storage database. A request for access to log messages stored in the long-term log storage is completed by reconstructing the requested log messages from log patterns stored in the log-pattern database and metric objects stored in the time-series metric database.

Abstract: In one example, configuration data and resource utilization data associated with a plurality of virtual machines in a data center may be retrieved. Further, a cluster analysis may be performed on the configuration data and the resource utilization data to generate a plurality of clusters. Each cluster may include identical virtual machines from the plurality of virtual machines. Furthermore, for each cluster, the identical virtual machines in a cluster may be consolidated to execute in a host computing system such that physical memory pages are shared by the consolidated identical virtual machines in the cluster.
