Abstract: An example method of implementing a blockchain network in a computer system includes: receiving, at an orchestrator executing in the computer system, a blockchain request from an application; querying, by the orchestrator, a platform data store for blockchain configuration data associated with the blockchain network; sending, by the orchestrator, a request having the blockchain configuration data to a container pool manager executing in the computer system; and creating, by the container pool manager, the blockchain network by purposing a first generic container in a generic container pool as a client-purposed container and second generic containers in the generic container pool as replica containers of a replica network.
