摘要： A method of depigmenting melanin-pigmented samples is provided. The sample is incubated in the presence of a hydrogen peroxide-based solution at a temperature less than 65° C. for up to 180 minutes. Times, temperatures, and concentrations of hydrogen peroxide that appropriately balance extent of depigmentation with maintenance of cellular morphology and sample retention are also disclosed.
