The server system is adapted and configured to: receive, via a network, from a new service SN, a service specific set of user profiles, denoted [PN]∀ UN and having a user dimension and an attribute classification category dimension; combine the service specific set of user profiles [PN]∀ UN and a set of previously received set of user profiles, denoted [PN−1]∀ UN−1, or a derivative thereof, into a combined set, denoted [cPN]∀ IN, of user profiles for a set of users IN=UN∩UN−1; orthogonally transform [cPN]∀ IN into a set of abstract user profiles, denoted [aPN] ∀ IN, that are minimized in attribute classification dimension; and reduce, in the attribute classification dimension, the abstract set [aPN]]∀ IN to an abstract reduced set, denoted [arPN] ∀ IN, of the user attributes having the highest variance; thereby enabling enhanced personalized.

摘要： Method and a recommendation system (200) for making a media item recommendation to a user. A weighted graph is created (2:2) that comprises item nodes representing media items and edges linking the item nodes. Weights are also assigned to the edges based on weights of contributors shared by the linked item nodes. When an initial media item of interest to the user is identified (2:4), the recommendation system determines (2:5) a set of media items which are linked to the initial media item in a weighted graph. At least one of the determined set of media items is also selected based on the assigned weight of edges linking the media items to the initial media item. The recommendation system then provides (2:6) the media item recommendation with the at least one selected media item to the user.

摘要： A method and apparatus for performing analysis of client related data obtained from a communication network. A trend analyzer analyzes a trend of a client segment, which trend has been detected by a data stream analysis of the client related data. The trend reflects a change over time of at least one feature derived from the client related data. The trend analyzer then requests a batch based deep analysis when the trend fulfils a trigger condition, to find a cause for the trend. A result of the deep analysis is then provided to a result consumer. Thereby, the deep analysis may be performed only when a trend has been detected thus being more responsive to trends by the stream analysis and reguiring less resources, as compared to when data is always subjected to deep analysis regardless of whether a trend occurs or not.
