摘要： A ski binding of the safety release type wherein the release assembly utilizes a torsion bar free of intermediate levers and the like to actuate directly the operative release member which engages the ski boot in position on the ski, thereby to provide not only a singularly simple and effective safety release assembly but one that is especially adaptable to a combination downhill (heel fixed) and cross country (heel free) releasable ski binding.
