Abstract: An appliance includes a door with a plurality of panels spaced apart by a vertical support. A lower hinge mount is coupled with an appliance body. A first pivot member is coupled with the lower hinge mount and includes a first protrusion. A lower hinge support is fixedly coupled with the vertical support and includes an elongate coupling plate and a hinge arm that extends orthogonal relative to a longitudinal extent of the elongate coupling plate. A stop extends from the hinge arm. A second pivot member has a receiving space that receives the stop. The second pivot member includes a second protrusion that is in abutting contact with the first protrusion. A lower hinge pin extends through the lower hinge support and the second pivot member. The lower hinge pin is vertically translated when the second pivot member moves from a first position to a second position.

Abstract: An appliance includes a door having a vertical support. A first pivot member defines a first pin receptacle and is coupled with a lower hinge mount coupled with an appliance body. The first pivot member includes a first protrusion having a first inclined surface and a first horizontal surface. A lower hinge support is fixedly coupled with the vertical support and is rotatable between first and second positions. A second pivot member is coupled with the lower hinge support, defines a second pin receptacle, and includes a second protrusion having a second inclined surface and a second horizontal surface. The second horizontal surface contacts the first horizontal surface in the first position. A lower hinge pin is coupled with the lower hinge support and is vertically translated within the first and second pin receptacles when the second pivot member moves between the first and second positions.

Abstract: An appliance door assembly is provided that comprises a primary door pivotally coupled to an appliance and positioned to seal a cavity defined by the appliance and a secondary door slideably coupled to the primary door. The secondary door is slidable between a first position and a second position when the primary door is in a closed position. The appliance door assembly further includes first and second engagement features operable between first and second positions. The secondary door is operably coupled to a track assembly disposed within the cavity when the first engagement feature is in the first position. The first and second positions of the second engagement feature correspond with the first and second positions of the first engagement feature. The secondary door is operably coupled to a rack disposed within the cavity when the second engagement feature is in the first position.

Abstract: An appliance includes a control panel assembly having a rearwardly extending mounting member. The rearwardly extending mounting member includes a body portion having an outer edge with one or more slots disposed through the body portion and inwardly opening from the outer edge of the body portion. A housing includes a support bracket having a support surface with one or more mounting apertures disposed therethrough. One or more locating pins are received through the one or more mounting apertures. The locating pins include body portions upwardly extending from the support surface of the support bracket. The one or more locating pins are removably received in the one or more slots of the rearwardly extending mounting member of the control panel assembly.
